In recent months, the LGBTQIA+ community has faced a surge of targeted and hateful actions, both at the national level and within our own communities. From executive actions dismantling DEI initiatives to harmful rhetoric on government websites, these attacks are relentless and deeply damaging. Research consistently shows that trans-affirming care saves lives—studies published in JAMA Network Open and endorsed by the American Medical Association demonstrate that access to gender-affirming healthcare significantly reduces rates of depression, suicide, and mental health struggles among transgender individuals.

Across the country, states are rescinding anti-discrimination laws, putting transgender people in immediate danger in employment, housing, and everyday life. Now more than ever, it is critical to come together as a community to support the organizations on the frontlines of this fight. This Solution Session is an opportunity to collaborate, innovate, and take actionable steps to protect LGBTQIA+ rights, safety, and joy—because our collective future depends on it.
