How partnership works

Partners make a flexible donation to join the SVP Denver Partner network. From there, we offer many highly customized ways to connect, contribute, and drive change in our community.

There are three types of Partners: businesses, individuals, and funders.

For each type of Partner, SVP Denver is centered on identifying (or even creating!) the highest-impact engagement opportunities. We work one-on-one with you to first understand your impact goals and then provide custom opportunities to work with local nonprofits and social enterprises.

Learn more about each Partner type below, or sign up to have an immediate impact.

What SVP Denver Partners say about their experience

I feel more confident discussing key components of marketing strategy, and I got to learn about some incredible local organizations throughout the process!

Faith McKenna
Coach in Social Impact Marketing Cohort

I had a great working relationship with my organization and was thrilled to make that connection. I also gained confidence in my ability to provide a valuable contribution.

Julianne Sherer
Coach in Theory of Change Cohort

I really enjoyed connecting with the folks from the organization I was partnered with. I knew about their work beforehand, but actually getting to them know as individuals and their commitment to the work they are doing was very powerful.

Mariana Diaz
Coach in Make Your Pitch Cohort

What Social Mission Organizations say about their experience

“You have given us the tools needed and a good foundation for crafting and presenting a winning pitch to investors, customers and partners. Each and every one of you have been instrumental with preparing our group to create and deliver a (tailored) pitch with passion.”

Lori Collier
Program Manager, African Leadership Group

“We gained a tremendous amount from this cohort—having external unaltered feedback from various people with key components to keep in mind has strengthened our approach greatly!”

How long does a Partnership last?

We typically work with Partner on an annual basis (with options to keep collaborating indefinitely!), however, there are some opportunities to create shorter term engagements. We’re flexible and want to match your impact goals and timeline.

Where does my Partnership donation go?

Your contribution to SVP Denver directly supports all of our programming. Each year, we provide thousands of hours of expert training and skills-based volunteer support to 40+ local impact organizations – all at (almost) no cost to participating organizations. We also host regular educational and social events to bring our community together to learn and connect. More Partners means we can expand our programs and offerings to make critical support and expertise accessible to more great organizations working to build a more equitable and inclusive Denver.

Is my donation tax deductible?

Yes! SVP Denver is fiscally sponsored by the Colorado Nonprofit Development Center, an established 501(c)(3) organization. So 100% of your contribution is tax deductible.

Can you tell me more about the events and training offered?

Of course! Each year, we give Partners the opportunity to join us for a variety of in-person and virtual events. They generally fall into 3 categories:

  • Happy hours / socials – Simple get togethers to network and connect with other local professionals and nonprofit leaders.
  • Learning sessions – We organize ‘lunch and learns’, site visits and pitch events to hear directly from social impact leaders who are driving change.
  • Workshops – Opportunities to build professional / leadership skills in areas such as facilitations, communicating across difference, nonprofit coaching in more. These are hosted in collaboration with expert facilitators.
