SVP Denver amplifies the impact of local nonprofits and social mission organizations that address health, economic and racial inequities in Metro Denver by connecting them to the support and expertise they need to thrive. Solution Sessions provide a structured opportunity for community members to identify and/or advance community-based solutions to social mission organizations’ key challenges. Join us on April 30th, 2025 from 8:30am to 11:00am featuring organizations serving LGBTQIA+ individuals and communities.

In recent months, the LGBTQIA+ community has faced a surge of targeted and hateful actions, both at the national level and within our own communities. From executive actions dismantling DEI initiatives to harmful rhetoric on government websites, these attacks are relentless and deeply damaging. Research consistently shows that trans-affirming care saves lives—studies published in JAMA Network Open and endorsed by the American Medical Association demonstrate that access to gender-affirming healthcare significantly reduces rates of depression, suicide, and mental health struggles among transgender individuals.

While Colorado has laws protecting providers, parents, and individuals seeking care, we cannot take these protections for granted. Across the country, states are rescinding anti-discrimination laws, putting transgender people in immediate danger in employment, housing, and everyday life. Now more than ever, it is critical to come together as a community to support the organizations on the frontlines of this fight. This Solution Session is an opportunity to collaborate, innovate, and take actionable steps to protect LGBTQIA+ rights, safety, and joy—because our collective future depends on it.

Program Goal

Collaborate with impact-driven community members to find solutions to strategic challenges featured organizations are facing through a structured brainstorming and decision making process. By Participating in this Solution Session, social mission organizations and community leaders will:

• Expand Awareness: Learn about the impactful work of organizations addressing LGBTQIA2S+ justice and connect with others in the impact ecosystem who are tackling similar challenges.
• Deepen Knowledge: Share insights and gain knowledge about community-driven programs, services, and innovative approaches to creating meaningful change.
• Collaborate on Solutions: Contribute your expertise and experience to help community organizations solve a critical challenge through structured decision making

Who Is Involved?

• Featured Organizations: 1-3 representatives to share about their work, share the key challenge they are facing, and pose a Design Question to the community. Interested in being featured? Fill out our interest form!
