Calendar of Events

While news continues to unfold about COVID-19 and especially the implications for
nonprofits, be assured SVP Denver will continue to serve our community and engage
our partner members. We will discontinue working from our offices at The Denver
Foundation as well as work and meet online for the foreseeable future. We also have
canceled our happy hour scheduled for this week.

If you have time available, our capacity-building investees could use your help remotely through video conferencing, e-mails and phone calls. Please reach out to Justin Folkstead at jfolkestad.svp@gmail.com if you can lend your expertise. We are already hearing about non-profits struggling to figure out new ways to operate, planning for disruptions of funding and responding to an increase of individuals in need.

SVP Denver has additional resources available for our current, and past, investees. We are exploring how to share our Zoom videoconferencing account at no additional cost. Please reach out to Jill Santuccio at hello@svpdenver.org if you would like to use this service. We are collaborating internally and externally to provide additional resources; stay tuned to our website for more information.

In the meanwhile, more general information for non-profits is available from the Colorado Nonprofit Association: https://www.coloradononprofits.org/news/covid-19-coronavirus-resources-colorado-nonprofits

Amid all of the activity, our interim executive director search continues. We are excited about our large, talented applicant pool and aim to have a new candidate in place in late April or early May. This individual will grow our social impact investment programs, evaluate long term strategies, increase impact and measurement of our capacity building and provide the best possible philanthropic experience for our partners.

This is the perfect time to engage in the discussion about the future of SVP Denver. As a stakeholder in our success, we welcome your thoughts. Please reach out with ideas and suggestions via hello@svpdenver.org.

Please stay safe!
